Student attendance recording EasyBadge
EasyBadge is the EasyAcademy suite module designed for tracking student attendance in classes that require compulsory participation.
Using a paper register, where each student must sign to certify their presence, is neither the safest nor the most modern method to ensure that all students are actually in the classroom. This is a challenge that many universities need to address by adopting more efficient and innovative tools.
To achieve this goal, universities must avoid outdated systems that do not guarantee the accuracy of collected data and instead introduce technologies capable of ensuring attendance tracking in a simple and efficient way, while keeping investment costs under control.
- Intuitive and Minimalist
EasyBadge is an intuitive and minimalist module that integrates with the EasyRoom module, from which it retrieves the events for which student attendance needs to be monitored. This makes managing teaching activities quick and reduces inevitable data entry errors.
- Using the EasyApp Mobile Application
The attendance tracking method proposed by EasyStaff is based on students using the EasyApp mobile application. The student uses EasyApp to enter the alphanumeric code of the lesson provided by the lecturer, and if all checks managed by EasyApp are successful, the system sends the student’s attendance to the EasyBadge module.
- Student Attendance Percentage
EasyBadge automatically calculates, progressively as lessons take place, the percentage of attendance for each individual event or group of events. At the end of the lessons, EasyBadge provides the administrator with a list of students who have exceeded the minimum attendance threshold and are therefore eligible to take the final exam.
