Class schedules EasyCourse
EasyCourse is the module of the EasyAcademy suite that allows you to optimize and manage students and teachers’ lesson schedules at Universities Departments/Schools.
EasyCourse is the ideal solution both for who requires an efficient and fast software for the preparation of lesson schedules, and for those who wants to certify, and revise schedules already prepared with traditional methods.
The need to use a software to manage academic lesson schedules arises as a response to an extremely comprehensive and complex university system, offering a range of educational choices that are often fragmented and shared among different degree courses.
This element of complexity is accompanied by the necessity of meeting the needs of a plurality of subjects such as teachers, which generally have preferences with regards to their lessons’ place schedules, and students, who prefer compact lesson schedules distributed in a homogeneous way throughout the week and, finally, academic Departments, that often must deal with a reduced availability of classrooms and laboratories.
It is in this contest, therefore, that arises the University administrative staff’s need, to be supported by an IT tool able to organize this complex task and facilitate the organization and management of university lectures, taking into consideration the multiple variables involved.
EasyCourse offers the advantages of a web procedure where teachers can submit their preferences, including requests for consecutive teaching days for commuters, report unsuitable hours within the assigned schedules and their choice of classrooms.
The economic savings in man/ minutes reported below were calculated thanks to the collaboration with some EasyStaff customers.
The examples given below are for a medium-sized Department/School with 150 teachers, 250 taught courses and 1,000 lesson units.
- Collection of teachers’ preferences
Traditional management (paper forms): 10 minutes for each teacher
Use of the EasyCourse module:- the savings are around 25 man/days for each semester
- Realization of the timetable
Traditional management: 5 minutes per single teaching unit (in the case of a complete realization)
Use of the EasyCourse module:- the savings are around 20 man/days for each semester
- Automatic insertion of “lesson” events in the classroom
Traditional management: 0.5 minutes per single booking
Use of the EasyCourse module:- the savings are around 8 man/days for each semester
- Publication of Results for students and teachers

EasyRoom is the module of the EasyAcademy suite that manages University classrooms and laboratories bookings.
Thanks to the system integration between the two modules it is possible, with a simple click, to export the lesson schedules created with EasyCourse into the EasyRoom’s to-do list; the exported bookings will be considered as “lesson” events.
Web Planner for students and teachers
The students and teachers’ web planner is an EasyAcademy suite module that allows public consultation of information to be provided to students and teachers.
Thanks to the system integration between the two modules it is possible, with a simple click, to make public the lessons schedules created by EasyCourse, thus allowing students and teachers to consult them.
EasyApp is a mobile application for students and teachers of the EasyAcademy suite.

University Teaching Programming Software
EasyCourse can be integrated with the Teaching Programming software used by Universities; thanks to this integration it is possible to automatically import into EasyCourse, for each academic year, the range of educational options offered by the Departments/Schools and all the necessary information (courses, teacher coverage, degree courses and study plans) for preparing lesson schedules.
EasyCourse is integrated with Cineca U-GOV, the teaching software most used by Italian universities, and with different custom systems created by the same universities.
Software for University’s unique authentication
EasyCourse can be configured to allow access to its system with unique University credentials; EasyCourse is compatible with the most common SSO protocols such as Shibboleth, CAS and LDAP.
